CITY OF TROY, KANSAS
ORDINANCE NO. 712
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF TROY, KANSAS, VACATING A PORTION OF AN ALLEY IN BLOCK 33 IN THE ORIGINAL TOWN, NOW CITY OF TROY, DONIPHAN COUNTY, KANSAS.
WHEREAS, the governing body of the City of Troy, Kansas has determined that vacation of the following described portion of an alley in Block 33 in The Original Town, now City of Troy, Doniphan County, Kansas, to wit:
That portion of the alley in Block 33 situated between the East line of Lots 6, 7 and 8 and the West line of Lots 3, 4, and 5.
would promote beneficial development in the City and be in the best interests of the City of Troy, and,
WHEREAS, there are no utilities in that portion of the alley to be vacated by this Ordinance nor is any significant public benefit being derived from the above described portion of alley.
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF TROY, KANSAS:
1. That the above described portion of the alley in Block 33 in the Original Town, now City of Troy are hereby vacated.
2. That in accord with the terms and provisions of K.S.A. 15-427 the vacated property reverts to the owner or owners of the real estate thereto adjacent on each side.
3. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its publication in The Kansas Chief, the official city newspaper.
