Ord 687 Electric Metering Policies

ORDINANCE NO. 687

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF TROY, KANSAS ADOPTING METERING POLICIES AND PROCEDURES FOR CUSTOMER-OWNED RENEWABLE ENERGY RESOURCES AND INCORPORATING, BY REFERNCE, INTERCONNECTION STANDARDS FOR PARALLEL INSTALLATION AND OPERATION OF CUSTOMER OWNED ELECTRICAL GENERATING FACILITIES.

WHEREAS, the Governing Body of the City of Troy, Kansas, finds that there is increasing interest in customer-owned renewable energy resources; and,

WHEREAS, policies and procedures are necessary for the health, safety and welfare of the citizens and employees of the City of Troy, Kansas for the interconnection of customer-owned renewable energy resources with the City’s electric utility system; and

WHEREAS, the Governing Body of the City of Troy, Kansas, desires to enact certain uniform policies and procedures for such customer-owned renewable energy electrical generation.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF TROY,KANSAS, AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1. There is hereby adopted and incorporated herein by reference Interconnection Standards for Parallel Installation and Operation of Customer-Owned Electric Generating Facilities, together with the Program Overview, Technical Requirements, Application for Interconnection Agreement, Certificate of Completion, and National Certification Codes and Standards therein contained. No fewer than three copies of the Interconnection Standards For Parallel Installation and Operation of Customer-Owned Electric Generating Facilities, together with the Program Overview, Technical Requirements, Application for Interconnection

Agreement, Certificate of Completion, and National Certification Codes and Standards therein contained shall be marked or stamped “Official Copy As Adopted By Ordinance 687” and to which shall be attached to a copy of this ordinance and filed with the City Clerk to be open to inspection and available to the public at all reasonable hours.

SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be effective upon its adoption and publication in the official city newspaper.

PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the governing body of the City of Troy, Kansas, this 18th day of November, 2014.
