Ord 672 – Willow and Lower State Streets

CITY OF TROY,KANSAS

ORDINANCE NO. 672

AN ORDINANCE RELATIVE TO THE NAMING AND RENAMING OF CERTAIN STREETS WITHIN THE CITY OF TROY, KANSAS.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OFTROY,KANSAS:

1. That the business loop of U.S. Highway 36 beginning at the East right-of-way line ofFourth streetand running in a Northeasterly direction to a point where such intersects the North boundary of the City of Troy, Kansas is hereby named and henceforth shall be a part ofLocust Street.

2. That beginning at the East right-of-way line ofFourth streetand continuing Easterly to the East boundary of the City of Troy, Kansas, the street which was formerly a part ofLocust streetis hereby namedWillow Street.

3. That the roadway located immediately south of State Street beginning at Main Street and running in a Northeasterly direction to a point near Third Street where such roadway intersects State Street and which has heretofore been commonly referred to asLower State Streetis hereby namedLower State Street.

This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after it=s publication in the Kansas Chief, the official city newspaper of the City of Troy, Kansas.

Passed by the governing body of the City of Troy, Kansas, the 15th day of May, 2012.
