Troy Lions Club July 4th Celebration

7-10am  Breakfast at the 4-H grounds. Sponsored by Doniphan county 4-H members. 8am  5K run/walk. Registration is at 7am at the Troy High School. Sponsored by Troy Booster Club. 10am-12pm Fishing derby at the 4-H pond 4pm Parade on Main street. Registration starts at 2pm at the south end of Main street by the grain elevator. Music before the parade by Bill and Bea Koehler and Roger Whetstine. Fly over by Mark Scholz in his 51 airplane. 5-7pm Cookout at the 4-H grounds. Sponsored by the Troy High School band class. 6pm Tractor pull at the basketball court. Registration starts at 5:30. Hosted by Troy High School FFA. 5-8pm Petting zoo. By Doniphan County Pet Rescue. Free horse rides from 5-7pm 6pm Ice cream social. FREE WILL DONATION!! 6-9pm Concession stand by Troy Girl Scouts. 7pm Frog Races at the shelter house by the 4-H pond. Hosted by Tim and Natalie Sneed family. 7pm Mark Scholz practicing for the Amelia Festival. Evening activities include: Free rides on the Old Fire Truck hosted by Allen and Laura Winkel. Haunting Hayride and Spooktacular Stories

Meet at the 4-H Fairgrounds in Troy at 7:15 p.m. for a hayride through the countryside and streets of Troy. The hayride will pause at the Troy Community Park where spooky digital projections will entertain participants with singing, dancing, and story-telling. Another special treat will be a fun Halloween presentation featuring Jeremy and Christina Prudden and Girl Scouts and speech students under the direction of Theresa Root. Everyone is invited; this event is suitable for the entire family. Free refreshments will be served at the 4-H building, and there will be a fun photo opportunity. Cost–Admission is free! More–There will be two hay wagons this year and both will leave the fairgrounds around 7:15 p.m. and return there after the hayride. Sponsored by—Troy Community Park Committee
