Public Notice to the Residents of Troy, Kansas
The City of Troy is pleased to announce its intent to submit an application to the Kansas Department of Commerce Community Development Block Grant Program. The purpose of this program is to secure a grant of $300,000 to fund improvements to individual households occupied by low to moderate-income residents of Troy, Kansas.
Eligibility to participate in the program and receive a rehabilitation grant is based on total combined household income, with the following income limits:
- 1 person family: $45,650
- 2 person family: $52,200
- 3 person family: $58,700
- 4 person family: $65,200
- 5 person family: $70,450
- 6 person family: $75,650
- 7 person family: $80,850
- 8 person family: $86,100
Eligible activities under the grant include, but are not limited to, repairs and improvements to roofs, siding, gutters, foundations, windows, and interior enhancements such as floors, kitchens, bathrooms, and electrical upgrades.
Residents interested in participating in this program are encouraged to obtain a pre-application from Troy City Hall. Applicants must complete the pre-application with all applicable information and submit it back to City Hall. Applications will be considered on a first-come, first-served basis.
