CITY OF TROY, KANSAS

ORDINANCE NO.  703

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF TROY, KANSAS VACATING A PORTION OF UNION STREET IN THE CITY OF TROY, DONIPHAN COUNTY, KANSAS.

WHEREAS, the governing body of the City of Troy, Kansas has determined that vacating that portion of Union Street hereinafter described would assist Doniphan County, Kansas, promote beneficial use and development in the city, enhance the city’s tax base, and generally be in the best interest of the City of Troy, Kansas.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF TROY, KANSAS:

SECTION 1.               That portion of Union Street situated South of Blocks A, B, C and D of Union Addition to the City of Troy, Doniphan County, Kansas is hereby vacated, SUBJECT, HOWEVER, to reservation by the City of Troy, Kansas of an easement for utilities over, under and upon the North 40 feet of that portion of Union Street hereinabove described

SECTION 2.  That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its publication in “The Kansas Chief”, the official city newspaper.

PASSED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF TROY, KANSAS AND APPROVED BY THE MAYOR OF SAID CITY THIS 19^th DAY OF DECEMBER, 2017.
