CITY OF TROY, KANSAS ORDINANCE NO. 699

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF TROY, KANSAS, VACATING CERTAIN PORTIONS OF ALLEYS IN BLOCK 28 IN UNION ADDITION, AN ADDITION TO THE ORIGINAL TOWN, NOW  CITY OF TROY, KANSAS.

WHEREAS, the governing body of the City of Troy, Kansas has determined that vacation of the following described portions of alleys in the City of Troy, Kansas, to wit:

All that portion of the alley immediately south of Lots I  and 2 in Block  2 in Union Addition to the City of Troy, Doniphan  County,  Kansas,

And,

All that portion of the alley immediately east of Lot I in Block 2 in Union Addition to the City of Troy, Doniphan  County, Kansas,

would promote beneficial development and be in the best interests of the City of Troy, and,

WHEREAS, there are no utilities in or served by the portions of alleys proposed to be vacated by this Ordinance nor is any significant public benefit being derived from the above described  portions of alleys.

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF TROY,  KANSAS:

I . That the above described portions of alleys in the City of Troy are hereby vacated.

1. That in accord with the terms and provisions of K.S.A. 15-427 the vacated property reverts to the owner or owners of the real estate thereto adjacent on each  side.

1. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its publication  in The Kansas  Chief, the official city newspaper.
