ORDINANCE NO. 279
AN ORDINANCE LEVYING TAXES FOR THE PURPOSE OF PROVIDING REVENUE FOR THE CITY OF TROY, KANSAS, FOR THE YEAR 1932.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF TROY, DONIPHAN COUNTY, KANSAS:
SECTION 1. That for the purpose of General Revenue there shall be levied upon all the taxable property within the City of Troy, Kansas, ONE MILL on the dollar on the assessed valuation of the property within said city.
SECTION 2. That for the purpose of opening, widening and bringing to grade all streets, alleys and avenues and for the building of bridges, culverts and sewers, and for footwalks across streets, avenues and alleys, there shall be levied upon all the taxable property within the City of Troy, Kansas, ONE MILL on the dollar on the assessed valuation of the property within said city.
SECTION 3. That there shall be levied upon all the taxable property within the City of Troy, Kansas, ONE-HALF MILL on the dollar on the assessed valuation of the property within said city for a Music Fund.
SECTION 4. That there shall be levied upon all the taxable property within the City of Troy, Kansas, TWO MILLSon the dollar on the assessed valuation of the property within said city for a Fire Fund.
SECTION 5. That for the purpose of raising an interest and sinking fund with which to pay off accrued and accruing interest and principal on Water Bonds for the years 1931 and 1932, there shall be levied upon all the taxable property within the City of Troy, Kansas, ELEVEN MILLS on the dollar on the assessed valuation of the property within said city.
SECTION 6. That for the purpose of raising an interest and sinking fund with which to pay off accrued and accruing interest and principal on Sewage Disposal Bonds for the years 1931 and 1932, there shall be levied upon all the taxable property within the City of Troy, Kansas, TWO AND THREE-FOURTHS MILLS on the dollar on the assessed valuation of the property within said city.
SECTION 7. That for the purpose of raising an interest and sinking fund with which to pay off accrued and accruing interest and principal on Sewer Bonds for the years 1931 and 1932, there shall be levied upon all the taxable property within the City of Troy, Kansas, THREE AND ONE-FOURTH MILLS on the dollar on the assessed valuation of the property within said city.
SECTION 8. That this ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its publication in the Kansas Chief.
