The Troy City Council met in regular session Tuesday November 2, 2021, at 6:55 p.m. at the Troy City Hall. The meeting was called to order by Mayor Sarah J. Boeh-Cerra. Mayor Sarah J. Boeh-Cerra and Council members Stan Ruhnke, Cody Miller, Tim Hanlan, and Micheal Brissett answered roll call. Council member Nick Popple was absent. Also present were City Clerk Jim Richardson, Chief of Police Doug Duncan, and City Attorney Alan Boeh.
Mayor Sarah J. Boeh-Cerra presented the Council with a letter of resignation from Council member Nick Popple effective November 5, 2021. Discussion followed.
Motion was made by Tim Hanlan, second by Stan Ruhnke, to approve the Council minutes of the November 2, 2021. Vote – unanimous with those Council members present. Motion carried.
The Council reviewed and discussed the bills presented.
Motion was made by Tim Hanlan, second by Cody Miller to approve the bills as listed AP check number 12844 thru 12871 in the amount of $30,481.10. Vote – unanimous with those Council members present. Motion carried.
Chief of Police Doug Duncan brought up the matter of reworking Ordinance number 671 regarding the operation of All- Terrain Vehicles within the City. Discussion followed.
Chief of Police Doug Duncan brought up the matter of the Colin and Nora Kitzman property at 123 N. Liberty in regards to the order that they demolish and remove the south shed on their property. Discussion followed.
Motion was made by Stan Ruhnke, second by Micheal Brissett give Colin and Nora Kitzman until December 7, 2021 to demolish and remove the south shed at 123 N. Liberty. Vote – unanimous with those Council members present. Motion carried.
City Clerk Jim Richardson brought up matter of the furnace needing to be replaced at City Hall. Discussion followed.
There. being no further business, motion was made by Stan Ruhnke, second by Tim Hanlan to adjourn the meeting. Vote – unanimous. Motion carried. The meeting adjourned at 7:55.
