MotionwasmadebyMichealBrissett,secondbyCodyMillertoallowTheLastChanceSaloon to close Main Street between E. Walnut and E. Chestnut on May 22, 2021 for a dice runandtoallowTheLastChanceSaloontohaveabeergardeninfrontofthebarinaropedoffareaon May 22, 2021 between 5:00 p.m. and 12:00 a.m., with the permit being obtained by HarrySmithbarowner.Vote-unanimouswiththoseCouncilmemberspresent.Motioncarried.
Garrett NordstromfromWesternConsultantsDBA "GovernmentalAssistance Services"addressedthe Council concerningretaininghis companyto write and submit an application fortheCDBG-CV3rdroundofbusinessgrantfunding.Thisgrantprogramisintendedonlyforforprofitbusinesses.The City acts as a pass-throughentityfor the funds.The City cannot receivefunds from this program.This is a reimbursement program - this means that businesses getreimbursedfor eligible expensesalreadyincurredand paid.Mostbusiness expenses are eligibleincludingrent, mortgage,utilities (no city-ownedutilities are eligible), payroll,inventory,insuranceandmanymore.ThecostofGAStowriteandsubmittheapplicationis$3,325.00.

The Council discussed the following item with City Clerk Jim Richardson: TheupcomingelectricincreasefortheAprilelectricbillfromthe trueupcostfromtheFebruaryweatherevent;andtheretainerofservicesfromMidlandSurveying.
