Troy City Council met at Troy City Hall on HJuly 2, 2019 in regular session. Mayor Robert Jenkins called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. Others present were council members Carolyn Clary, Hobert Clary, and Sarah Boeh-Cerra, City Clerk Jane Boeh, Working Supervisor Jim Horner, and City Attorney Alan Boeh.
Hobert Clary moved to approve minutes for June 18, 2019 as written. Carolyn Clary seconded the motion and it carried.
Hobert Clary moved to approve bills check #011044 to #011075 in the amount of $61,106.91. Carolyn Clary seconded the motion and it carried.
Boeh-Cerra moved to approve paying for rental of two port-a-pots for the rodeo June 14 at a cost of $200.00-paying Doniphan Fair Association. Carolyn Clary seconded the motion and it carried.
Carolyn Clary moved to pass Ordinance #712 vacating a portion of an alley in Block 33 in the original town situated between the East line of Lots 6, 7 and 8 and the West line of Lots 3, 4, and 5 which includes a blanket easement on all unimproved property. Hobert Clary seconded the motion and it carried.
Carolyn Clary moved to approve the bid from Shorty & Mic’s Pump Service for repairs to Well #1. Boeh-Cerra seconded the motion and it carried.
Boeh-Cerra moved to go into executive session at 6:45 p.m. to discuss legal matters for 15 minutes with all present. Meeting reconvened at 7 p.m.
It was stated the scooter and other motor-driven cycle rules and ATV ordinance is available at city hall if anyone wants to read it.
Boeh-Cerra moved to go into executive session at 7:15 p.m. to discuss personnel with all present for 15 minutes. Meeting reconvened at 7:30 p.m.
The board will have a special meeting on Jul6 8, 2019 at 6 p.m. to interview 2 applicants for the maintenance worker positions.
Hobert Clary moved to close Main Street on July 4, 2019 for the 4 p.m. parade. Carolyn Clary seconded the motion and it carried.
Carolyn Clary moved to adjourn at 7:45 p.m. Boeh-Cerra seconded the motion and it carried.
