The Troy City Council met inregular session onApril 5, 2022, at6:30 p.m. at the Troy City Hall. The meeting was called to order byMayor Sarah J. Boeh-Cerra. Mayor Sarah J. Boeh-Cerra, and Councilmembers Tim Hanlan, Stan Ruhnke, and Duane Weishaaranswered roll call. Council members Micheal Brissett and Cody Miller were absent. Also present was City Clerk Jim Richardson, Working Supervisor Jim Horner, Ambulance Director Matt McKittrick, Chief of Police Doug Duncan, City Attorney Alan Boeh, David Fenley, Guy Bennett, Jason Taylor, and Patrick Urban.
Motion was made by Stan Ruhnke, second by Duane Weishaarto approve the Council meeting minutes of March 15, 2022. Vote unanimous with those Council members present. Motion carried.
Members of DC Development addressed the Council concerning their future plans for the property. Discussion followed with the Council.
The Council reviewed and discussed the bills presented.
Motion was made by Stan Ruhnke, second by Tim Hanlanto approve the bills as listed AP check number 13144 thru 13188 in the amount of $39,702.25. Vote unanimous with those Council members present. Motion carried.
Robin Ruhnke addressed the Council concerning closing Liberty Street between Walnut and Chestnut from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. on April 23, 2022 for the Blessing of the Bikes Run. Non-perishable food items will be collected for the Doniphan County Help House. Discussion followed.
Motion was made by Tim Hanlan, second by Stan Ruhnke to close Liberty Street between Walnut and Chestnut from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. on April 23, 2022 for the Blessing of the Bikes Run. Vote unanimous with those Council members present. Motion carried.
City Clerk Jim Richardson informed the Council that City cleanup day had been set for April 23, 2022.
City Clerk Jim Richardson updated the Council on the new revisions of the Lead and Copper Rule and what will be required of the city. Discussion followed.
City Clerk Jim Richardson brought up the matter of the City Clerk and City Superintendent attending the Kansas Municipal Utilities Conference in Wichita, KS on April 27 thru April 29, 2022. Discussion followed.
Motion was made by Stan Ruhnke, second by Tim Hanlan to send the City Clerk and City Superintendent to the Kansas Municipal Utilities Conference in Wichita, KS on April 27 thru April 29, 2022. Vote unanimous with those Council members present. Motion carried.
City Attorney Alan Boeh addressed the Council concerning finalization vacating the alley for Curtis Anderson on South Park Street.
There being no further business, motion was made by Tim Hanlan, second by Duane Weishaarto adjourn the meeting.Voteunanimous with those Council members present. Motion carried. The meeting adjourned at 7:42 p.m.
