Ordinance No. 82

An Ordinance Granting the Right-of-Way to the Chicago, Kansas & Nebraska Railway Company Through the City of Troy

Be it ordained by the Mayor and Councilmen of the City of Troy:

Section 1.

The Chicago, Kansas & Nebraska Railway Company, a corporation organized under the laws of the State of Kansas, is hereby granted the right and privilege of constructing its railroad, together with all such sidetracks and switches as it may desire, on and along its line and route as now surveyed, staked, and located through the City of Troy, as shown by the plat of said line on file in the office of the County Clerk of Doniphan County, Kansas.

The company is further granted the right to construct and operate its railroad over, across, along, and upon all streets, avenues, and alleys in the City intersected by its route and line.

Section 2.

Each of the streets and alleys intersected, crossed, or occupied by the railroad company shall, upon completion of its railroad over and across the same, be restored to such condition as not unnecessarily to impair their usefulness.

Section 3.

This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its publication in The Weekly Kansas Chief.
