Bonds of Officers.
No. 7.
An Ordinance Requiring Certain Officers to Give Bonds Before Entering Upon the Duties of Their Offices.
Be it ordained by the Mayor and Councilmen of the City of Troy:
Sec. 1. That the following city officers shall give bond to the City of Troy, as hereinafter provided, before entering upon the duties of their respective offices.
Sec. 2. The City Treasurer shall give bond in the sum of One Thousand Dollars.
Sec. 3. The City Attorney shall give bond in the sum of Five Hundred Dollars.
Sec. 4. The Police Judge shall give bond in the sum of Five Hundred Dollars.
Sec. 5. The City Clerk shall give bond in the sum of Five Hundred Dollars.
Sec. 6. The City Marshal shall give bond in the sum of Five Hundred Dollars.
Sec. 7. The Street Commissioner shall give bond in the sum of Five Hundred Dollars.
Sec. 8. Each of said bonds shall have one or more good and sufficient sureties, to be approved by the Mayor and Council, and shall be conditioned for the faithful performance by the officer executing the same, of all acts and duties required of him by any law of the State of Kansas, or of the City of Troy, and for the proper application and the payment of all money or property coming into his hands by virtue of said office; said bonds to be filed with the City Clerk (except the bond of the City Clerk, which shall be filed with the City Treasurer), who shall receive for the taking and filing each of said bonds twenty-five cents, to be paid by the officer executing the same.
Section 9
Sec. 9. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its publication in pamphlet form.
