Ordinance No. 66

An Ordinance Prohibiting Boys from Loitering About the Railroad Depots

Be it ordained by the Mayor and Councilmen of the City of Troy:

Section 1.

It shall be unlawful for any boy under the age of sixteen years to loaf, play, or loiter in or about any railroad depot in this city, or to willfully climb upon or off any railroad car while the same is in motion or while standing upon any railroad track when a locomotive is attached thereto.

Any person so offending shall, upon conviction, be fined not less than one dollar ($1.00) nor more than ten dollars ($10.00).

Section 2.

The agents and employees of any railroad company in this city are hereby authorized and empowered to arrest and bring before the Police Judge any and all boys found violating the provisions of this ordinance.

Section 3.

This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its publication in The Weekly Kansas Chief.
