An ordinance providing for the issuance of a license for pool halls in the City of Troy and for the regulation of pool halls, and providing penalty for the violation thereof.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF TROY.
SECTION (1) That it shall be unlawful for any person, persons, or corporation to operate a pool or billiard hall or place where billiards or pool can be played in the City of Troy, without first obtaining a license from the City Clerk.
SECTION (2) Any person wishing to obtain a license, shall pay to the City Clerk the sum of Ten Dollars a table for one year, to be payable quarterly in advance.
SECTION (3) That there shall not be more than one license granted for every two thousand population in the City of Troy.
SECTION (4) That any person operating a pool hall shall close the same at 11:00 o’clock on week nights and 12:00 on Saturday nights, and such pool halls shall not be open on Sunday.
SECTION (5) That such license shall be revokable at the pleasure of the Council upon the return of the pro rated license fee.
SECTION (6) That any person violating the terms of this ordinance shall be fined in the sum of not exceeding $100.00.
SECTION (7) This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its publication in the Kansas Chief.
