ORDINANCE NO. 259
AN ORDINANCE MAKING THE TAX LEVY FOR THE CITY OF TROY, DONIPHAN COUNTY, KANSAS.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF TROY, DONIPHAN COUNTY, KANSAS.
SECTION (1). That for the purpose of General Revenue there shall be levied upon all the taxable property within the City of Troy, Kansas, three (3) mills on the dollar on the assessed valuation of the property in the City of Troy.
SECTION (2). That for opening, widening, and bringing to grade all streets, alleys, and avenues and for the building of bridges, culverts, and sewers, there shall be levied a tax of three (3) mills on the dollar on the assessed valuation of all the taxable property in the City of Troy.
SECTION (3). That for the purpose of paying for the construction of a main sewer and drainage line in said City there shall be levied on all taxable property within said City one (1) mill on the dollar on the assessed valuation of all property within the City of Troy.
SECTION (4). There shall be levied against all property within the City of Troy, one-half (½) mill on the dollar on the assessed valuation of all property in said City for a Music Fund.
SECTION (5). There shall be levied against the taxable property within the City of Troy two (2) mills on the dollaron the assessed valuation of all the property in said City for a Fire Fund.
SECTION (6). That for the purpose of paying for Street Lighting, there shall be levied two (2) mills on the dollar on the assessed valuation of all taxable property in the City of Troy, Kansas.
SECTION (7). This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after the day of its passage and its publication in the Kansas Chief.
