Ordinance #244
An Ordinance repealing Ordinance #242 and relating to the parking of automobiles and trucks and the driving of automobiles and trucks on the streets of the City of Troy, and providing penalties for the violation thereof.
Be it ordained by the Mayor and the Councilmen of the City of Troy:
Section (1) That it shall be unlawful for any person to drive any automobile or truck on the streets of Troy, except in the manner as herein provided.
Section (2) That any person driving an automobile or truck on the streets of Troy shall drive said automobile or truck on the right hand side of the street from the direction said automobile or truck is headed; and any person parking any automobile or truck on Main Street from Doniphan Street north to Wilson Street, on Liberty Street from Kansas Street north to Borno Street, on Borno Street from Main Street east to Liberty Street, and on Kansas Street from Main Street east to Liberty Street, shall park said automobile or truck on the right hand side of the street from the direction said automobile or truck is headed, with the wheels against the curb and headed toward the curb at an angle of forty-five degrees, and within the spaces designated by lines.
Section (3) That any person driving an automobile or truck on the streets of Troy shall not park said automobile or truck in front of any filling station, unless the establishment or filling and automobile repair shop and shall be established by the Mayor and marked by signs.
Section (4) That it shall be unlawful for any person driving any automobile or truck on the streets of Troy to turn said car around except on the street intersections. Turning said car or truck, they shall keep to the right of the center of such intersection.
