An Ordinance making the Tax Levy for the City of Troy, Kans. for the year 1926
Be it ordained by the Mayor and Councilmen of the City of Troy, Doniphan County, Kansas.
Section (1) That for General Revenue purposes there shall be levied upon all taxable property within said City of Troy, One mill on the Dollar on the assessed valuation of the property in said City of Troy, Kans.
Section (2) That for opening, widening, and bringing to grade all streets, alleys and avenues, there shall be levied a tax of one and one-half mills on the dollar on the assessed valuation of the property in the said City of Troy, Kansas.
Section (3) That for the purpose of paying for the construction of a main sewer and drainage line in said City there shall be levied on the taxable property within said City of Troy, Kans. One mill on the dollar of the assessed valuation of the property within said City.
Section (4) That for the purpose of paying for grading, curbing and guttering, and for paving of the intersections of streets and alleys of the City of Troy, chargeable to the City at large, there shall be levied upon all taxable property within said City, seven mills on the dollar on the assessed valuation of the property within said City.
Section (5) There shall be levied one-half mill on the dollar on the assessed valuation of the taxable property within the City of Troy, Kansas, for a Music Fund.
Section (6) That for raising an interest and sinking fund with which to pay off accrued and accruing interest and principal on paving bonds for the year 1926 and 1927 in excess of amount levied in said delinquent taxes, there shall be within the City of Troy, Kansas, eight mills on the Dollar for the assessed valuation of said property in said City.
Section (7) There shall be levied one-half mills on the Dollar on the assessed valuation of the taxable property within the City of Troy, Kansas, for a Fire Fund.
Section (8) This ordinance shall take effect and be in full force from and after its publication in the Kansas Chief, the official City Paper.
