An Ordinance declaring Walnut Street, East from Main Street to the East line of the City, to be a public thoroughfare; and requiring all drivers of all kinds of vehicles approaching Walnut Street from the North or South at all streets East of Main Street, to come to a complete stop, twenty feet from said Walnut Street, before driving out to said Walnut Street, and requiring all drivers of all kinds of vehicles approaching Liberty Street from the East or West on Walnut Street, to come to a complete stop, twenty feet from said Liberty Street, before driving on to said Liberty Street; and to fix the penalty for a violation of this ordinance.
Be it ordained by the Mayor and Councilmen of the City of Troy:
Sec. I. It is hereby ordained and declared that all that part of Walnut Street East of Main Street to the East line of the City of Troy, is a public thoroughfare.
An Ordinance relating to the salary and fixing the fees of the City Marshal, and repealing Section four of Ordinance No. 17 of the printed Ordinances, published in pamphlet form, and certified March 12, 1901, by the City Clerk of said City of Troy.
Be it ordained by the Mayor and Councilmen of the City of Troy:
Sec. I. The City Marshal shall receive such salary per month, as the Mayor and Council may from time to time declare for performing the duties of City Marshal, and Street Commissioner, and he shall receive for each arrest and conviction of offenders against the Ordinances of said City, the sum of three dollars, to be taxed as cost against the person so arrested and convicted; it is further provided that the City Marshal shall receive one dollar per day for feeding and caring for prisoners confined in the City Castle Calaboose.
Sec. II. That section four of said Ordinance No. 17 and all Ordinances in conflict with this Ordinance are hereby repealed.
Sec. III. This Ordinance shall take effect from and after its publication in The Kansas Chief.
