An Ordinance fixing assessments to pay costs of extra paving between blocks 12 and 13 in Original Troy, and between blocks 4 and 5 in East Troy in addition to the Federal Aid road built between said blocks.

Whereas, the Mayor and Council of Troy, Kansas, has ascertained that the cost of the additional grading and paving on Walnut Street in Original Troy between Blocks twelve and thirteen over the cost of the Federal Aid road built between said blocks is the sum of $324.70 and that the cost of the additional grading and paving on Boone Street in East Troy, an addition to the City of Troy, between blocks four and five over the cost of the Federal Aid paving between said blocks is the sum of $254.70, and that the proportionate amount thereof shall be assessed against the lots and parcels of ground liable to pay therefor.

Therefore, be it enacted by the Mayor and Councilmen of the City of Troy, Kansas:

Sec. I. That there is hereby levied and assessed against the lots and parcels of ground hereinafter described and liable for the cost of said improvement, their proportionate share of said cost as follows:

Block 12, Original Troy, Kansas:
Lot 5 — $61.80
Lot 4 — $61.80
South ½ of Lot 8 — $30.85

Block 13, Original Troy, Kansas:
Lot 1 — $54.95
Lot 2 — $54.07
Lot 3 — $57.96

Block 4, East Troy, an addition to Troy, Kansas:
Lot 1 — $33.11
Lot 2 — $35.11
Lot 3 — $46.34
Lot 4 — $46.34
Lot 5 — $52.97

Block 5, East Troy, an addition to Troy, Kansas:
Lot 10 — $19.86
Lot 9 — $19.86
Lot 8 — $19.86
Lot 7 — $16.49
Lot 6 — $16.49

Sec. II. That said assessments shall become due and be paid in installments of one fifth each year beginning with the tax levy of 1925 and in addition to said assessments installment shall bear interest at five per cent per annum from the date of this ordinance, payable annually until said installment is paid and said installments and interest shall be levied and collected as are other taxes.

Sec. III. That the owner of the respective lots and parcels of ground on which said assessments are levied shall be mailed a written notice by the City Clerk stating the amount levied against the owner and which said assessments may be paid within thirty days from the date of the ordinance and the respective lots and parcels of ground thereby freed from said assessments and interest.

Sec. IV. This ordinance shall take effect and be in full force from and after its publication once in the Kansas Chief, the official city paper.
