An ordinance making the tax levy for the City of Troy for the year 1923.
Be it ordained by the Mayor and Councilmen of the City of Troy, Kansas:
Sec. I. That for general revenue purposes there shall be levied upon all taxable property within said City of Troy 2 mills on the dollar on the assessed valuation of the property in the said City of Troy.
Sec. II. That for opening, widening and bringing to grade all streets, avenues and alleys and walks across the streets, avenues and alleys, there shall be levied a tax of 1½ mills on the dollar on the assessed valuation of the property in the said City of Troy.
Sec. III. That for the purpose of paying for grading, curbing, guttering and paving of the intersections of streets and alleys of the City of Troy, chargeable to the City at large, there shall be levied upon all taxable property within said City of Troy 1 mill on the dollar on the assessed valuation of the property of said City of Troy, Kansas.
Sec. IV. That for the purpose of paying for the construction of Main sewer and drainage line in said City of Troy, there shall be levied upon the taxable property within said City of Troy 1 mill on the dollar on the assessed valuation of the property of the said City of Troy, Kansas
Sec. V. That there be levied against all taxable property in the City of Troy ⅛ mill for Music Fund.
Sec. VI. That for raising an interest and sinking fund to pay off accrued and accruing interest and principal on paving bonds for the years 1923 and 1924 in excess of assessments levied and delinquent there shall be levied against all taxable property within the City of Troy 9 mills on the dollar of the assessed valuation of the City of Troy, Kansas.
Sec. VII. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with the foregoing are hereby repealed.
Sec. VIII. This ordinance shall take effect and be in full force from and after its passage and publication in the official City paper, The Kansas Chief.
