Ordinance No. 188
An ordinance making the tax levy for the City of Troy, Kansas, for the year 1920.
Be it ordained by the Mayor and Councilmen of the City of Troy, Kansas:
Sec. I.
That for general revenue purposes there shall be levied upon all the taxable property within said City of Troy, three (3) mills on the dollar on the assessed valuation of the property in the said City of Troy, Kansas.
Sec. II.
That for the maintenance of the Fire Department there shall be levied two (2) mills on the dollar on the assessed valuation of the property in the said City of Troy, Kansas.
Sec. III.
That for the purpose of maintaining and paying for street lighting purposes there shall be levied one (1) mill on the dollar on the assessed valuation of the property in the said City of Troy, Kansas.
Sec. IV.
That for opening, widening and bringing to grade all streets, avenues and alleys, and for the building of bridges and culverts and for water works, streets, avenues and alleys, there shall be levied a tax of one (1) mill on the dollar on the assessed valuation of the property in the said City of Troy, Kansas.
Sec. V.
This ordinance shall take effect and be in full force from and after its publication in the Kansas Chief.
