Ordinance No. 182
Shows and Exhibitions
Be it ordained by the Mayor and the Councilmen of the City of Troy:
Sec. I.
That no person shall exhibit in this City any theatrical performance, circus, or show, or side show, nor have a literary, scientific, artistic or benevolent character, they would not be admitted free of charge without first having obtained a license therefor, and such license shall be granted upon the applicant first paying to the City Treasurer Two Dollars ($2.00) for a theatrical exhibition, and Ten Dollars ($10.00) for each side show traveling with, connected with, or attached to a separate show or any circus; the sum of Five Dollars ($5.00) for any other show or exhibition, and paying the City Clerk a fee of Fifty Cents ($0.50) for issuing each license.
Sec. II.
Any person violating the provisions of this ordinance in the foregoing section shall, upon conviction, be fined not less than Ten Dollars ($10.00) nor more than Fifty Dollars ($50.00).
Sec. III.
This ordinance shall take effect
and be in full force from and after its publication in the Weekly Kansas Chief.
