Ordinance No. 169
An ordinance relating to the building of a cement sidewalk on Walnut Street near the north line of same and south side of Lot 1, Block 35, in the original town, now the City of Troy.
Be it ordained by the Mayor and Councilmen of the City of Troy:
Sec. I. Beginning 3 feet east and 52½ feet south of the southeast corner of Lot 5, Block 34; thence westerly 140 feet to the cement crossing south of the alley in Block 34; thence south 4 feet; thence easterly and parallel to the first line 140 feet; thence north 4 feet to the place of beginning.
Said cement walk is to be at least 3 inches thick, composed of good clean sand and stone, and the finishing coat to be ½ inch thick of good Portland cement and sand. Portland cement shall be mixed half and half; the concrete or base shall be mixed of the proportions one part cement, two parts sand, and four parts crushed rock or limestone; the finishing coat to be put on shortly after the concrete base is placed.
Sec. II. This ordinance shall be in effect from and after its passage, approval, and publication in the manner provided by law.
