An ordinance establishing the grade on both sides of Chestnut Street from the east line of Liberty Street east to the west line of the alley on the east side of Original Troy, and establishing the grade on both sides of Kansas Street from the west line of said alley on the east side of Original Troy, and establishing the grade on both sides of First Street in East Troy from the south line of Kansas Street south to the north line of Doniphan Street in East Troy, Doniphan County.

Be it ordained by the Mayor and Councilmen of the City of Troy:

Sec. I.

That the grade on both sides of Chestnut Street in Troy, from the east line of Liberty Street east to the alley on the east side of Original Troy, is hereby established as follows:

Beginning on Chestnut Street at the northwest corner of Block 24, Troy, Kansas, elevation 1141.3 feet, which is 39/100 feet below the elevation on the Bench Mark on the retaining wall of the Court House Square; thence north on a plane 80 feet, elevation 1139.9 feet, at the southwest corner of Block 23, Troy; thence east on a plane along the north line of Chestnut Street 140 feet to the alley, elevation 1126.6 feet; thence north on a plane 80 feet across said street to the northeast corner of Block 24, elevation 1128.3 feet; thence west on a plane to the place of beginning.

Sec. II.

That the grade on both sides of Kansas Street, east from the west line of the alley along the east side of Original Troy to the east line of First Street in East Troy, is hereby established as follows:

Beginning at the northeast corner of Block 24, elevation 1128.3 feet; thence east on a plane across the alley 20 feet to the northwest corner of Kansas Street (East Troy), elevation 1128.3 feet; thence north on a plane 80 feet across said street to the northwest corner of said street to the northeast corner of Block 5, elevation 1126.7 feet; thence west on a plane 20 feet across the alley to the northeast corner of Chestnut Street; thence south across said street to the place of beginning.

Then beginning at the southwest corner of Kansas Street, an elevation of 1128.3 feet; thence south on a plane along the south line of said street 140 feet to First Street, elevation 1111.6 feet; thence north on a plane 80 feet across Kansas Street to the southeast corner of Block 5, East Troy, elevation 1116.2 feet; thence west on a plane 140 feet to the northwest corner of Kansas Street, elevation 1126.4 feet; thence south on a plane 80 feet to the place of beginning.

Then beginning at the intersection of Kansas Street with First Street, at the northeast corner of Block 6; thence east on a plane 80 feet across First Street to the northwest corner of Block 9, elevation 1104.0 feet; thence north 80 feet on a plane across Kansas Street to the southwest corner of Block 10, elevation 1104.0 feet; thence west on a plane 80 feetacross First Street to the southeast corner of Block 5, elevation 1111.6 feet; thence south on a plane 80 feet across Kansas Street to the place of beginning.

Then beginning at the northwest corner of Block 19, at the intersection of Kansas and Second Streets; thence east on a plane 140 feet to the alley, elevation 1090.2 feet; thence east on a plane 20 feet across said alley, elevation 1090.2 feet; thence east on a plane 140 feet to the northeast corner of Block 9, at the west line of Second Street, elevation 1089.7 feet; thence north on a plane 80 feet crossing Kansas Street to the southeast corner of Block 10, elevation 1093.0 feet; thence west on a plane 140 feet to the alley, elevation 1090.2 feet; thence west on a plane 20 feet across said alley, elevation 1090.2 feet; thence west on a plane 80 feet to the place of beginning.

Then beginning at the northeast corner of Block 9, elevation 1089.7 feet; thence east on a plane 80 feet across Second Street to the northwest corner of Block 20, elevation 1089.7 feet; thence north on a plane 80 feet across Kansas Street to the southwest corner of Block 19, elevation 1093.0 feet; thence west on a plane 80 feet across Second Street to the southeast corner of Block 10, elevation 1093.0 feet; thence south on a plane across Kansas Street 80 feet to the place of beginning.

Then from the northwest corner of Block 20, east on a plane 140 feet to the alley, elevation 1098.1 feet; thence east on a plane 20 feet across said alley, elevation 1098.3 feet; thence east on a plane 140 feet to the northeast corner of Block 20, to Third Street, elevation 1108.7 feet; thence east on a plane across Third Street 80 feet, elevation 1107.7 feet to the northwest corner of Block 23; thence north on a plane 80 feet across Kansas Street to the southwest corner of Block 24, elevation 1107.7 feet; thence west on a plane across Third Street 80 feet to the southeast corner of Block 19, elevation 1110.7 feet; thence west on a plane 140 feet to the alley, elevation 1101.3 feet; thence west on a plane across said alley 20 feet, elevation 1101.7 feet; thence west on a plane 140 feet to Second Street, at the southeast corner of Block 19, elevation 1093.0 feet; thence south on a plane 80 feet to the place of beginning.

Sec. III.

That the grade on both sides of Third Street, in East Troy, from the south line of Kansas Street south to the north line of Doniphan Street is established as follows:

Then beginning at the northeast corner of Block 20, elevation 1107.7 feet; thence south along the west line of Third Street 100 feet, elevation 1102.0 feet; thence south 100 feet, elevation 1096.4 feet; thence south 100 feet to the southeast corner of Block 20, to Doniphan Street, elevation 1090.7 feet; thence east on a plane across Third Street80 feet to the southwest corner of Block 23, elevation 1090.7 feet; thence north 100 feet, elevation 1096.4 feet; thence north 100 feet, elevation 1102.8 feet; thence north 100 feet to the northwest corner of said Block 23, elevation 1107.7 feet; thence west on a plane 80 feet to the place of beginning.

Sec. IV.

This ordinance shall take effect and be in full force from and after its publication in the Weekly Kansas Chief.
