An ordinance establishing the grade on both sides of Walnut Street from the west line of Main Street west to the west line of Park Street, and establishing a grade on both sides of Elm Street from the west side of Main Street to the west side of Oliver Street, both in the original City of Troy, Doniphan County, Kansas.
Be it ordained by the Mayor and Councilmen of the City of Troy, Doniphan County, Kansas:
Sec. I. That the grade on both sides of Walnut Street from the west line of Main Street west to the west line of Park Street is hereby established as follows:
Commencing on the west line of Main Street with the intersection of the south line of Walnut Street, elevation 1137.4 feet, being four and 24/100 feet below the bench mark on the top of the retaining wall at the southwest corner of the Court House Square, elevation 1141.62 feet, and with the intersection of the west line of Main Street with the north line of Walnut Street, elevation 1136.3 feet; thence west on Walnut Street on a plane 140 feet to the east line of the alley through Blocks 10 and 15, elevation at the intersection of the south line of Walnut Street and the east line of the alley through Block 15 1129.3 feet, and at the intersection of the north line of Walnut Street and the east line of the alley through Block 10 1128.8 feet; thence west on a plane 20 feet to the west line of said alley, elevation at the intersection of the south line of Walnut Street and the west line of the alley through Block 15 1129.3 feet, and at the intersection of the north line of Walnut Street and the west line of the alley through Block 10 1128.8 feet; thence west on a plane 140 feet to the east line of Seneca Street, elevation at the intersection of the south line of Walnut Street and the east line of Seneca Street 1118.3 feet, and at the intersection of the north line of Walnut Street and the east line of Seneca Street 1116.1 feet; thence west on a plane 80 feet across Seneca Street, elevation at the intersection of the south line of Walnut Street and the west line of Seneca Street 1115.1 feet, and at the intersection of the north line of Walnut Street and the west line of Seneca Street 1114.0 feet; thence west on a plane 140 feet to the east line of the alley through Blocks 9 and 16, elevation at the intersection of the south line of Walnut Street and the east line of the alley through Block 16 1105.4 feet, and at the intersection of the north line of Walnut Street and the east line of the alley through Block 9 1106.8 feet; thence west on a plane 20 feet to the west line of said alley, elevation at the intersection of the south line of Walnut Street and the west line of the alley through Block 16 1105.1 feet, and at the intersection of the north line of Walnut Street and the west line of the alley through Block 9 1106.3 feet; thence west on a plane 140 feet to the east line of Center Street, elevation at the intersection of the south line of Walnut Street and the east line of Center Street 1093.1 feet, and at the intersection of the north line of Walnut Street and the east line of Center Street 1094.8 feet; thence west on a plane 80 feet across Center Street, elevation at the intersection of the south line of Walnut Street and the west line of Center Street 1090.0 feet, and at the intersection of the north line of Walnut Street and the west line of Center Street 1091.7 feet; thence west on a plane 140 feet to the east line of the alley through Block 8, elevation at the intersection of the south line of Walnut Street and the east line of said alley 1079.0 feet; thence west on a plane 20 feet, elevation at the intersection of the north line of Walnut Street and the west line of said alley 1078.5 feet; thence west on a plane 140 feet to the east line of Clinton Street, elevation at the intersection of the south line of Walnut Street and the east line of Clinton Street 1070.4 feet, and at the intersection of the north line of Walnut Street and the west line of Clinton Street 1066.4 feet; thence west on a plane across Clinton Street 80 feet, elevation at the intersection of the south line of Walnut Street and the west line of Clinton Street 1066.4 feet, and at the intersection of the north line of Walnut Street and the west line of Clinton Street 1066.4 feet; thence west on a plane 140 feet to the east line of the alley through Blocks 7 and 18, elevation at the intersection of the south line of Walnut Street and the east line of the alley through Block 18 1076.8 feet, and at the intersection of the north line of Walnut Street and the east line of the alley through Block 7 1076.8 feet; thence west on a plane 20 feet across said alley, elevation at the intersection of the south line of Walnut Street and the west line of the alley through Block 18 1077.2 feet, and at the intersection of the north line of Walnut Street and the west line of the alley through Block 7 1077.2 feet; thence west on a plane 140 feet to the east line of Park Street, elevation at the intersection of the south line of Walnut Street and the east line of Park Street 1096.0 feet, and at the intersection of the north line of Walnut Street and the east line of Park Street 1096.0 feet; thence west on a plane 80 feet across Park Street, elevation at the intersection of the south line of Walnut Street and the west line of Park Street 1099.0 feet, and at the intersection of the north line of Walnut Street and the west line of Park Street 1099.0 feet.

That the grade on both sides of Elm Street from the west line of Main Street west to the west side of Clinton Street is hereby established as follows:
Commencing on the west line of Main Street with the intersection of the south line of Elm Street, elevation 1135.2 feet, being eight and 69/100 feet below Bench Mark on the retaining wall at the southwest corner of the Court House Square, and with the intersection of the west line of Main Street with the north line of Elm Street, elevation 1134.8 feet; thence west on a plane 140 feet, elevation on the south line of Elm Street 1120.3 feet and on the north line of Elm Street 121.3 feet; thence west on a plane 20 feet, elevation on the south line of Elm Street 1120.2 feet and on the north line of Elm Street 1128.9 feet; thence west on a plane 140 feet to the east line of Seneca Street, elevation on the south line of Elm Street 1104.9 feet and on the north line of Elm Street 1104.9 feet; thence west on a plane 80 feet across Seneca Street, elevation on the south line of Elm Street 1100.2 feet and on the north line of Elm Street 1102.2 feet; thence west on a plane 140 feet elevation on the south line of Elm Street 1093.4 feet and on the north line of Elm Street 1093.2 feet; thence west on a plane 20 feet, elevation on the south line of Elm Street 1093.4 feet and on the north line of Elm Street 1093.2 feet; thence west on a plane 140 feet to the east line of Center Street, elevation on the south line of Elm Street 1096.8 feet and on the north line of Elm Street 1100.4 feet; thence west on a plane 80 feet across Center Street, elevation on the south line of Elm Street 1101.2 feet and on the north line of Elm Street 1105.3 feet; thence west on a plane 140 feet, elevation on the south line of Elm Street 1101.2 feet and on the north line of Elm Street 1102.3 feet; thence west on a plane 20 feet, elevation on the south line of Elm Street 1101.1 feet and on the north line of Elm Street 1102.0 feet; thence west on a plane 140 feet to the east line of Clinton Street, elevation on the south line of Elm Street 1097.2 feet and on the north line of Elm Street 1096.0 feet; thence west on a plane 80 feet across Clinton Street, elevation on the south line of Elm Street 1090.4 feet and on the north line of Elm Street 1090.0 feet.
Sec. III. This ordinance shall take effect and be in full force from and after its publication in the Weekly Kansas Chief.
