Ordinance No. 148

An ordinance establishing the grade on both sides of Liberty Street from the south line of Chestnut Street north to the south line of Locust Street, and establishing grade on both sides of Walnut Street and Grove Street from a point 78½ feet west of the west line of Liberty Street; said streets being in East Troy, City, Doniphan County, Kansas.
Be it ordained by the Mayor and Councilmen of the City of Troy, Doniphan County, Kansas:
Sec. I. That the grade on both sides of Liberty Street from the south line of Chestnut Street north to the south line of Locust Street is hereby established as follows:
Commencing on the south line of Chestnut Street with the intersection of the east line of Liberty Street, elevation 1114.4 feet, and with the intersection of the west line of Liberty Street, elevation 1117.3 feet; thence northerly 80 feet on a plane across said Chestnut Street on the east side of Liberty Street intersection of the north line of Chestnut Street, 1140 feet, and on the west side of Liberty Street, at the intersection of the north line of Chestnut Street, 1141 feet, said last figures being 64/100 feet below bench mark on the top of the retaining wall of the Court House Square at the southwest corner of said square; thence north on said Liberty Street, on a plane 150 feet, elevation on the east side of said street 1138 feet, and on the west side of said street 1139 feet; thence north on a plane 150 feet to the south line of Walnut Street, elevation on the east side of said Liberty Street 1131.8 feet, and on the west side of said Liberty Street 1134.3 feet; thence north on a plane 80 feet across Walnut Street, elevation at the intersection of the east line of Liberty Street and the north line of Walnut Street 1128.6 feet, and at the intersection of the west line of Liberty Street and the north line of Walnut Street 1133.3 feet; thence north on a plane 150 feet, elevation on the east side of said street 1125.9 feet, and on the west side of said street in the center of the alley in Block 11 1131.8 feet; thence north on a plane 150 feet to the south line of Myrtle Street, elevation on the east side of Liberty Street 1123.9 feet, and on the west side of said street 1128.2 feet; thence on a plane 80 feet across Myrtle Street, elevation at the intersection of the east line of said Liberty Street and the north line of said Myrtle Street 1125.8 feet, and at the intersection of the west line of said Liberty Street and the north line of said Myrtle Street 1127.8 feet; thence north on a plane 300 feet to the south line of Elm Street, elevation on the east side of said Liberty Street 1134.7 feet, and on the west side of said street 1136.7 feet; thence on a plane 80 feet across said Elm Street, elevation at the intersection of the north line of said Elm Street and the east line of said Liberty Street 1144.5 feet, and at the intersection of the north line of said Elm Street and the west line of said Liberty Street 1144.2 feet; thence north on a plane 300 feet to the south line of Locust Street, elevation on the east side of said Liberty Street 1138.2 feet, and on the west side of said street 1138.7 feet.
Sec. II. That the grade on both sides of Walnut Street and on both sides of Grove Street, from a point 78½ feet west of the line of Liberty Street, east to the east line of Second Street, in East Troy is hereby established as follows:
Beginning on the north and south line of Walnut Street 78½ feet west of the west line of Liberty Street, elevation at the intersection of said north and south line with the south line of said Walnut Street 1142.4 feet, and at the intersection of the north and south line of said Walnut Street with the north line of said Walnut Street 1144.7 feet; thence east on said Walnut Street on a plane 78½ feet to the west line of Liberty Street, elevation on the south side of said Walnut Street 1134.3 feetand on the north side of said Walnut Street 1133.3 feet; thence east on a plane across Liberty Street 80 feet, elevation at the intersection of the east line of Liberty Street and the south line of Walnut Street 1131.3 feet, and at the intersection of the east line of Liberty Street with the north line of Walnut Street 1128.6 feet; thence east on said Walnut Street on a plane 140 feet to the east line of the original town of Troy, elevation on the south side of said Walnut Street 1116.3 feet and on the north side of said street 1110.5 feet; thence east on a plane on Boone Street 20 feet, elevation on the south side of said Boone Street 1108 feet, north side of said Boone Street 1110 feet; thence east on a plane 140 feet to the west line of First Street, elevation on the south side of Boone Street 1105.2 feet and on the north side of said Boone Street 1107.2 feet; thence east on a plane 80 feet across First Street, elevation at the intersection of the south line of Boone Street and the east line of First Street 1105.2 feet, and at the intersection of the north line of Boone Street and the east line of First Street 1107.2 feet; thence east on a plane 140 feet to the west line of the alley in Block 10 and 11, elevation on the south line of said Boone Street 1111.6 feet and on the north line of said Boone Street 1114.1 feet; thence east across said alley on a plane 20 feet, elevation on the south line of said Boone Street 1112.1 feet and on the north line of Boone Street 1114.1 feet; thence east on a plane 140 feet to the west line of Second Street, elevation on the south line of Boone Street 1120.3 feet and on the north line of Boone Street 1122.3 feet; thence east on a plane across said Second Street 80 feet, elevation at the intersection of the east line of Second Street and the south line of Boone Street and at the intersection of the east line of Second Street and the north line of Boone Street 1122.3 feet.
Sec. III. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its publication in the Weekly Kansas Chief.
