Ordinance No. 143

An ordinance making tax levy for the City of Troy for the year 1911.

Be it ordained by the Mayor and Councilmen of the City of Troy:

Sec. I. That for general revenue purposes for the year 1911 there shall be levied upon all the taxable property within the City of Troy two (2) mills on the dollar of the assessed valuation of the property of said City.

Sec. II. That for opening, broadening and grading all streets and all improvements of the squares and areas formed by the crossing of streets, and for the building of bridges, culverts, sewers, and for work across streets, for the year 1911 for said City of Troy, there shall be levied upon all taxable property within said City one (1) mill on the dollar of the assessed value of the property in said City of Troy.

Sec. III. That for the purpose of paying the interest on the electric light bonds heretofore voted by said City of Troy for the year 1911, there shall be levied upon the taxable property within said City of Troy three-fourths (¾) of one mill on the dollar of the assessed valuation of the property in said City of Troy.

Sec. IV. This ordinance shall take effect and be in full force from and after its publication in the Weekly Kansas Chief.
