Ordinance No. 129

An Ordinance Levying a Tax for the City of Troy for the Year 1909.

Be it ordained by the Mayor and Councilmen of the City of Troy:

Section 1

That for general revenue purposes for the year 1909, for the City of Troy, there shall be levied on all taxable property within the city two and one-half (2½) mills on the dollar of the assessed valuation of the property.

Section 2

That for opening and grading all streets and for all improvements of sidewalks and alleys; for building crossings, streets, and for the building of bridges, culverts, and sewers; and for other improvements during the year 1909, there shall be levied on the taxable property within the city one and one-half (1½) mills on the dollar of the assessed valuation of the property.

Section 3

This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its publication in The Weekly Kansas Chief.
