Ordinance No. 126B
An Ordinance to Amend Section Two of Ordinance No. 120 of the City of Troy.
Be it ordained by the Mayor and Councilmen of the City of Troy:
Section 1
That Section Two of Ordinance No. 120 be amended so as to read as follows:
The grade of Liberty Street, beginning at the south line of Chestnut Street and extending south to the north boundary line of the St. Joseph & Grand Island Railroad Company depot, is hereby established as follows:
- Beginning on the south line of Chestnut Street at the intersection with the east line of Liberty Street, elevation 1141.4 feet, and at the intersection with the west line of Liberty Street, elevation 1140.6 feet.
- Thence south on a plane 140 feet, elevation 1142.4 feet on the east side and 1146.7 feet on the west side.
- Thence south 20 feet across the alley on a level.
- Thence south on a plane to Poplar Street, elevation 1138.9 feet on the east side and 1140 feet on the west side.
- Thence south on a plane to the south line of Poplar Street, elevation 1126.6 feet on both sides.
- Thence south on a plane 300 feet to State Street, elevation 1106.2 feet on both sides.
- Thence south on a plane 80 feet to the south track of the Chicago, Rock Island & Pacific Railroad Company, elevation 1093.3 feet.
- Thence south on a plane 17 feet 10 inches to the main track of the Chicago, Rock Island & Pacific Railroad Company, elevation 1092.6 feet.
- Thence south on a plane across the west track, elevation 1092.45 feet.
- Thence south on a plane 24 feet 2 inches, elevation 1087.78 feet.
- Thence descend to 1087.13 feet by one 8-inch step.
- Thence south on a plane 20 feet 8 inches to the side track of the St. Joseph & Grand Island Railroad Company, elevation 1087.70 feet.
- Thence south on a level to the depot of said company.
Section 2
This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its publication in The Weekly Kansas Chief.
