Ordinance No. 124
An Ordinance of the City of Troy Levying a Tax for General Revenue Purposes for the Year 1907.
Be it ordained by the Mayor and Council of the City of Troy:
Section 1.
That for the general revenue purposes of the City of Troy, Kansas, there shall be, and there is hereby, levied on all the real and personal property within the limits of said city, liable according to the laws of this state, five (5) mills on the dollar of the valuation of said property as returned by the assessment roll of 1906.
Section 2.
That there is hereby levied on all taxable real estate within the corporate limits of the City of Troy a tax of 2½ mills on the dollar for the purpose of:
- Widening and grading streets;
- Building footwalks across streets; and
- Building and repairing bridges.
Section 3.
This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its publication in The Weekly Kansas Chief.
