Ordinance No. 112
An Ordinance in Relation to Building Sidewalks in the City of Troy.
Be it ordained by the Mayor and Councilmen of the City of Troy:
Section 1. That the owners of property fronting on the streets hereinafter named, and on the sides of streets hereinafter designated, be and are hereby directed and required to build sidewalks as follows:
Beginning at the northwest corner of Block E, in Union Addition to the City of Troy, thence running south along the west side of said block to the southwest corner thereof; thence south across Union Street; thence south along the west side of Block One (1) in said Union Addition; thence south across Robertson Street; thence south along the west side of Block Two (2) in said Union Addition to the southwest corner thereof; thence south along the east side of Park Street to the south side of Jones Street.
Section 2. Said sidewalks shall be built not less than three (3) feet wide and of plank two (2) inches thick, or of stone or brick.
Section 3. The sidewalks provided for by Sections One (1) and Two (2) of this ordinance shall be built within sixty (60) days from the time this ordinance takes effect, and if not built, the city authorities shall proceed to build the same as authorized by law.
Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its publication in pamphlet form.
