An Ordinance Relating to Meetings of the Council, and the Salary and Fine of Councilmen.

Be it ordained by the Mayor and Councilmen of the City of Troy:

SEC. 1. The regular meetings of the Council shall be held on the first Friday evening of each month, at 7:30 o’clock P.M.

SEC. 2. Each member of the Council and the Mayor shall receive the sum of one dollar for his services in attending each of the regular meetings of the Council, and each member of the Council and the Mayor shall also receive the sum of one dollar for attending each of the regular meetings of the Council held prior to April, 1900.

SEC. 3. Any Councilman who absents himself from any meeting of the Council, or who shall be so tardy in his coming as to delay the business of the Council, without a reasonable excuse in either case, shall be subject and liable to a fine of fifty cents.

SEC. 4. Special meetings of the Council may be called as provided in Section 41, Chapter 38, Volume I, General Statutes of Kansas, 1891, and in the manner therein provided.

SEC. 5. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict with this ordinance be, and the same are, hereby repealed.

SEC. 6. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its publication in The Weekly Kansas Chief.
