Ordinance #209
An ordinance relating to the building of sidewalks.
Be it ordained by the Mayor and Councilmen of the City of Troy, Doniphan County, Kansas:
Sec. I. That the owners of property fronting or abutting on the west side of Park Street, between State Street on the south and Walnut Street on the north and being known and designated on the plat of said city as Blocks 43, 44 and 45 in the original town of Troy, Doniphan County, Kansas, be and they are hereby directed to build sidewalks along their respective property lines on the west side of Park Street.
Sec. II. Said sidewalks shall be built on the grade established by Ordinance No. 208 approved the 7th day of December 1920. And shall be built four feet wide, with the inner line of said walk two feet from the property line in Blocks 44 and 45 and three feet from the property line in Block 43.
It shall be constructed in a good and workmanlike manner of one part Portland Cement, two parts Kaw River sand, four parts crushed rock; well mixed together as a wet or running thick and with a one half inch top or wearing surface on top thereof, three parts screened Kaw River sand and one part Portland Cement well mixed.
Sec. III. Said sidewalk shall be so constructed by said property owners on or before the 31st day of May 1921, and if so built, according to law.
Sec. IV. This ordinance shall take effect and be in full force from and after its publication in the Kansas Chief.
